A Bit About Kate

Hustle Hard.Be More. Do More!

In the early hours of the morning, in the performance arena, I find myself surrounded by others with shared values of positivity, inclusivity and determination. Each of these values have shaped my success across multiple roles as a coach, trainer, clinician, competitor and judge .

It seems too that these values are shared with so many at the Australias Greatest Horsewoman. The camaraderie and support exhibited by each and every woman in attendance, be it as a competitor, spectactor, trader, or sponsor is unlike no other event in the country!

In our day to day conduct, we must challenge ourselves to go above and beyond.

I have always believed you can 'do more' than what you think you can. Life is full of challenge and change and if you always extend yourself within these moments, not only can you do enough to get through, you can achieve greatness, beyond your expectations. You can inspire others in the process and in turn everyone around you excels!

Whilst I constantly strive for elite performance within our breeding and training programme, inclusivity has always been equally valued. Within Breakodays' daily operations we run Youth, NDIS and Beginner programmes in conjunction with training our open futurity and derby prospects. Our Competition School horses each hold state and National level championships titles within their own right.

Having always wondered what a show horse felt like... I wanted to provide that opportunity for others.

I am strongly bound by values and principles. Perceived as strong, I simply just conduct myself standing for what's right... horse care, horse welfare rider safety, followed by connection and confidence.

Our clients and interns alike develop not just horses training and competition skills, but principles. Life skills, business skills and professionalism, and a way to pay it forward. To this day, I continue to mentor past and present interns, many now professionals in their own right.

The support for and amongst women in the equine industry is immense , particularly at the Australia's Greatest Horsewoman, and something that I had the opportunity to experience both as a clinician, and now as an award recipient, and I am both humbled and honoured to have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

I trust that my passion inspires yours , and that you do the same for others. Each of us are educators, mentors with an innate strength to be positive and make change.

Be More . Do More
